Kenya disputes UN claim that KDF killed 40 Somali civilians

Image
NEW YORK/UNITED NATIONS The Kenyan government is disputing allegations in a new United Nations report that its forces were responsible for 40 civilian deaths in Somalia during a 22-month period ending in mid-October. The report issued on Sunday states that air strikes carried out by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) were “allegedly responsible for 42 civilian casualties (36 killed, six injured).” CASUALTIES The UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (Unsom) and the UN Human Rights Office, which jointly compiled the report, attribute those deaths and injuries to KDF units not affiliated with the African Union Mission in Somalia (Amisom). Kenya's Amisom contingent is meanwhile said in the report to have killed four Somali civilians and injured five others. “Ultimately, civilians are paying the price for failure to resolve Somalia’s conflicts through political means,” said Unsom chief Michael Keating. “And parties to the conflict are simply not doing enough to shi...

HE NAILED IT Cyprian is NyakundiπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ Ladies I'm not lecturing you on morality here but if you've watched David Ndii's wife speak, that's what makes a man tick. Intellectual acuity, unflinching courage, amiable smartness, meritorious beauty and unimpeachable loyalty. Not fake nails, expensive weaves, tons of makeups dumped on your body and fucking fake accent. Not posting filtered photos on social media and proclaiming "I'm hoooot!" Fuck you! Who told you others are cold? Without much ado, from Jimi Wanjigi to David Ndii's wife, let's give kamba ladies credit. Murderous Kikuyu ladies can go on butchering their husbands to inherit their wealth. Kalenjin ladies just continue rejecting marriage proposals from Luos because you fear talking in English. Kisii ladies you can be better than kamba ladies if you stop crying like success cards during sex. Wasichana wa Pwani telling a man "kantombe kaka. Kantombe mwana we...

Nasa supporters have sworn to swear in their leader as the next president of Kenya. However,  the Jubilee government has stated that it will not allow the process to go on.   A billboard has been erected in the city bearing Uhuru Kenyatta's name and declaring him as the president of Kenya. Kenyans on social media did not take the matter lightly and as always they were on the keyboard condemning the act. A post by one Ronny Mamba stated that any  man who must say am king then he is no true king. The swearing in cere...

STRATEGIST DAVID NDII ARRESTTED

Image
Dr Ndii's family members have reported that police picked up the economist at the Leopard Beach area of Diani in the South Coast.  Nasa flagbearer Raila Odinga's adviser Salim Lone said that Dr Ndii's family had been told that he had been taken to the Diani Beach Police Station only for the police to say that the economist was not at the station. No reason was given for his alleged arrest.  However, the Nasa leadership insisted that the arrest is linked to be the economist’s role in the formation of the People’s Assembly, which the coalition says is the final pillar in the restoration of democracy and electoral reforms. The assemblies are part of Nasa's broad campaign for that Mr Odinga has termed "electoral justice" following August 8 and October 26 presidential elections, which he claims were rigged. CORRUPTION Mr Ndii has been a critic of the Jubilee administration for the last four years. On Friday, Nasa picked him to lead...
