Raila Odinga set to be sworn in as The People's President

                         Raila Amolo Odinga

Raila Amolo Odinga is set to be sworn in as the people's president on 12th of December. Despite the controversial elections held on October 26th. Nasa supporters have sworn to swear in their leader as the next president of Kenya. The 2017 elections were characterized by violence allegedly by police towards a certain community and region in Kenya. This resulted to the death of more than 50 people during the electioneering period. However,  the Jubilee government has stated that it will not allow the process to go on.

A billboard has been erected in the city bearing Uhuru Kenyatta's name and declaring him as the president of Kenya. Kenyans on social media did not take the matter lightly and as always they were on the keyboard condemning the act. A post by one Ronny Mamba stated that any  man who must say am king then he is no true king.

The swearing in ceremony is set to take place in Mombasa the coast city that links the Indian ocean to east Africa. Coast leaders who were earlier on pushing for secession are set to attend the event. This could possibly mark the beginning of another debate on secession considering the fact that the Nasa top strategist had previously been arrested on matters regarding hate speech. David Ndii was later on released after Nasa top lawyers led by James Orengo were able to post bail.

Nasa has invited top dignitaries in the world to attend the ceremony. There is a high likelihood of President Magufuli of Tanzania attending the ceremony considering  the fact that he did not attend the inauguration of  of President Kenyatta and his obvious support for Raila Amolo Odinga.
